There’s an old poem that I’ve enjoyed a great deal over the course of my life, and it goes something like this:
They mess you up, your mom and dad. They may not mean to, but they do. They fill you with the faults they had, and add some extra, just for you.
Since hurt people, hurt other people, we’ve been caught in a feedback loop of abuse passed down from generation to generation, and that has created the world we see before us today.
The world will only be right when undamaged people are running it. Right now, as things are, the best and brightest who aspire to positions of power and influence are all too often themselves victims of the illusion of separation.
After the present generation finishes our healing, and completes the process of unlearning the lies, our task will be to bring in a new generation who has no concept of the things which have made our lives so fractured and dissonant. Future generations will have to be brought into the world with the correct intentions for Earth to establish itself as a planet bearing a free human civilization.
Children shouldn’t have to sacrifice so that we can have the life we want. We should make sacrifices so our children can have the life they deserve.
When at least one parent can be at home to raise and rear their children; when both parents don’t both have to work to survive, and thus neglecting their children; when children know that they are unconditionally loved, deeply cherished, and protected, then, and only then, will the human family and in-turn the world be healed.
We did not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors, we borrow it from our children.
Everything we do is a legacy for future generations.
